A 4-person cabin in Bakkum, the Netherlands
“Comfort and tranquility at a very affordable price!
The cabin is secluded and features a beautiful private garden. It is equipped with all the necessary amenities: TV, internet via WiFi, etc.
The kitchen includes a microwave, four-burner stove, refrigerator, kettle, and coffee machine (filter).
The beds are made up for your arrival, so you only need to bring towels and kitchen linens.
The house can accommodate up to 4 people, and you can rent our bicycles. Bike rental costs €6 per bike, per day.”
The cabin
The cottage has a room/kitchen, two bedrooms and a shower/toilet.
The large garden is very secluded and has various options for sitting.
Access for guests
You can park your car in our (quiet) street. The station is a 10-minute walk away and you can reach Amsterdam in 25 minutes by train and Alkmaar in 10 minutes.
Bakkum
Bakkum and Castricum are located on the edge of the wooded North Holland dune reserve, near a quiet North Sea beach. Surfers, swimmers and also sun worshippers will find all facilities here and those seeking peace and quiet can enter the dune area here.
In Castricum you will find many entertainment venues such as discos, bars, cinemas and restaurants. In Bakkum you can also enjoy a delicious meal from snack bar to restaurant Apicius with a Michelin star. All this within walking distance of the house.
In terms of sports and bad weather accommodation, the municipality of Castricum is well provided for: indoor swimming pool, sports hall with climbing and training facilities, etc.
An explanation about the growth and flowering and animal life in the dunes is given in the visitor centre ‘de Hoep’ and in terms of water sports the Alkmaardermeer offers all possibilities.
